Now Hiring - Court Security Officer
The Bracken County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for CSO. This is a part-time position that pays $15.00/hour with no benefits. It requires up to a maximum of 99 hours per month to provide security and perform other duties associated with court proceedings and prisoner retention. Candidates for this position may pick up applications at the Sheriff’s Office or request one be sent to them via email.
Candidates must successfully complete the hiring process for this position. Selected candidates must also complete a two week (80) hour training course for this position in Richmond, KY. Minimum qualifications for this position are high school grad/GED, possess a valid operator’s license, not convicted of any felonies or domestic violence related offences, not prohibited from carrying firearm, and minimum of 21 years of age.
Now Hiring - Deputy Sheriff
Bracken County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications / resumes for the position of Deputy Sheriff. Minimum qualifications include: 21 year old; GED or High School Diploma; valid KY operator’s license; not convicted of any felonies or domestic violence related offences; ability to obtain KY POPS certification. Candidates with POPS certification will receive first consideration. Lateral entry candidates starting pay will be $20.00-$23.00 depending on experience, plus $4,300 State Incentive Pay (KLEFP).
